Kwik Built Affrodable Accommodation Materials

Materials Used

WALLS

  • Steel frames - hot dip galvanised
  • Sandwich panels consist of:
    - External layer .6mm colorsteel bonded to
    - 9mm compressed fibre board sheet bonded to
    - Fire resistant foam core with good thermal insulation qualities bonded to
    - 12mm A Grade structural ply bonded with a
    - 3mm lamipanel interior lining having a .2mm aluminium film and a painted finish to the interior.

A Class:

  • Have steel reinforced C sections fitted to external sides of panels with Interlocking PVC weather strips screwed and bonded to edges to ensure strength and weather tightness.

AA Class

  • Have fully welded structural steel walls with:15mm A grade film faced structural ply screw and glue fixed to exterior, with

- 50mm fire resistant thermal insulation fitted between steel frames and bonded to
- 12mm A Grade plywood fire resistant board to interior with:
- A 3mm lamipanel glue fixed to the ply and forming the inside lining.

AAA Class

  • Have a choice of PVC joining interlocking strips or heavy duty powder coated 2mmx20mmx80mm aluminium extrusions to form the structural weather seal.

BASE UNITS

  • All base frames are fabricated from structural steel perimeter frames with container corner blocks fully welded and hot dip galvanized.
  • Floor sub frames are generally C sections of 100x40x4 crosswise and longitudinally.
  • Angle sections are fully welded to exterior frames top and bottom and over C sections providing a sealing lip to accommodate:
  • A .5mm colorsteel sheet screw fixed and glued to underside to prevent weather and termite intrusion
  • 20mm compressed cement sheet as a sub floor to top surface consisting of a cement and bamboo fibre compound being waterproof, fireproof and light.
  • Between the outer and inner surface 80mm of foam insulating panels are installed.
  • Upon completion of the unit we install 15mm bamboo T&G flooring which is hard wearing and excellent thermal insulation and totally eco-friendly.

CEILING/ROOF PANELS C-UNITS

  • Similar to the base units the steel construction is of the same method and materials
  • The ceiling lining is a sandwich panel of 50mm with colorsteel to both surfaces.
  • Generally the ceiling surface is of a rolled slightly patterned profile
  • The roof is .5mm colorsteel seamed and sealed to an external lip for weather tightness

AA Class

  • Ceiling/roof panels are constructed from steel RHS - fully welded and hot-dip galvanised.
  • The outer and upper lining is of 15mm A Grade film faced construction plywood screw fixed to steel frame.
  • The internal lining is generally ex 9mm fire resistant board screw fixed to steel framework with:
  • A foam insulating core fitted between the steel frames and linings, with:
  • Generally a hollow pvc ceiling decorative lining 20mm deep which is screwed and glued to underside of roof panels. The 20mm space adds extra insulation factor plus allows electrical services to be run in voids if required.

ROOFING MATERIAL

  • In general we provide an extremely heavy duty Top-Hat folded steel section 30mm high, which is to be screw fixed to steel roof frames through the 15mm plywood bracing membrane to act as a purlin.
  • To this is screw fixed, using cyclone washer assemblies, a colorsteel roofing iron of .6 or .9mm BMT in order to resist the most severe weather.
  • We can also provide the roofing iron with a 25mm underlining of insulating foam, heat bonded to the sheet, to reduce the gap between the structural plywood membrane bracing and the exterior roofing sheet. This adds insulation and prevents differentials in pressure to underside of roof sheeting in the case of even the most severe weather events.
