ASSEMBLY ON SITE
All units will need to have the site prepared for placement. A brochure is available showing recommended dimensions and details of footings for each format with regard to intended location within Australia and being cross referenced with wind zones and terrain. The drawings contained therein are not intended for construction but will give an idea of what will be required. A client will need to engage the services of an engineer to determine which set of details are suitable for any one site.
A client will also need to determine from the local authorities whether a soil test will be required and what services such as power, telephones and sewerage is available. Any soil test will need to be carried out by a qualified practitioner.
In their simplest form the units need nothing but a level pad with some minor supports for the main frames at recommended centres. For a short period of time this may be sufficient for your needs. However we recommend that the units be tied down to prevent uplift in the case of a severe wind event.
The weight of each unit far exceeds the weight of similar sized conventional units generally available in the market. This is because no other standard unit is fabricated entirely from heavy duty structural steel with the safety of occupants placed before cost.
